Privacy Notice

1. Who we are and scope

The data controller is the sole proprietorship operated by Recep Yazgan under the Webotion brand (“Webotion”). This notice applies to webotion.net and Webotion's SaaS products, software development, cloud, server, hosting, maintenance, and support services.

For content uploaded and controlled by a customer through a Webotion service, Webotion generally acts as a processor and the customer acts as controller. The customer's instructions, the service agreement, and any data processing addendum apply in that context.

2. Data we process

  • Identity and contact data, including name, company, role, email, phone, and message content.
  • Account and service data, including user details, permissions, subscriptions, orders, proposals, and billing records.
  • Technical and security data, including IP address, device/browser information, session, access, audit, error, and security logs.
  • Support data, including tickets, correspondence, attachments, and technical information you choose to provide.
  • Customer content stored in SaaS, cloud, server, hosting, or backup services.
  • Cookie and analytics data used to understand site usage and performance. Non-essential technologies are used according to applicable consent requirements.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We process data as necessary to enter into or perform a contract, comply with legal obligations, establish or defend legal rights, and pursue legitimate interests that do not override your rights. We rely on consent where applicable law requires it.

  • Manage enquiries, proposals, contracts, accounts, subscriptions, billing, and customer relationships.
  • Provide SaaS, software, cloud, server, hosting, backup, maintenance, and support services.
  • Authenticate users, control access, prevent abuse, respond to incidents, and protect systems.
  • Troubleshoot, measure performance, improve services, and plan capacity.
  • Meet financial, administrative, and legal obligations and protect rights in disputes.
  • Send marketing communications only where the necessary permission or lawful basis exists.

4. Sharing and international transfers

We may share data, only as necessary, with hosting, cloud, data-centre, CDN, email, support, analytics, error-monitoring, payment, accounting, security, and backup providers; business partners; and competent public authorities. Webotion does not sell personal data.

  • Recipients are subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-processing obligations.
  • Depending on the infrastructure used, data may be processed outside Türkiye. Applicable transfer safeguards and legal requirements are used for such transfers.

5. Retention, security, and deletion

We retain data only as long as needed to deliver services, manage the relationship, meet legal and financial retention duties, and protect rights in potential disputes. It is then deleted, destroyed, or anonymised.

Security logs may be retained for a period proportionate to risk. Deleted data in backups may remain until the normal backup rotation overwrites or makes it inaccessible.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed absolutely secure.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, information, correction, deletion, restriction, notification to recipients, objection to certain automated outcomes, and compensation for unlawful processing. Residents of Türkiye also have the rights listed in Article 11 of the KVKK.
